Limited Edition Moog Subsequent 37 Synthesizer Debuts At Moogfest 2017

Limited Ed Moog 37

Post date:

Moogfest 2017 took place this past weekend and featured another host of great performances and events. One of the highlights was of course the building of the Subsequent 37 CV synthesizer at the Moog Pop-Up factory. Moog Music announced this coveted synthesizer just before Moogfest and it made its debut at Moogfest 2017 as promised. For fans not familiar with the Subsequent 37 CV, it is a limited-edition redesign of the Sub 37 Tribute Edition, which is a very powerful analog synthesizer in its own right. What makes the Subsequent 37 CV even more desirable is the fact that it is limited to a scant 2000 pieces worldwide.

The Subsequent 37 CV features all the features and controls that can be found on the Sub 37 Tribute Edition, along with some enhancements of course. This means it can perform in mono or duo modes, has a 37-note velocity-sensitive keyboard with aftertouch, 2 modulation busses and much more. The upgraded keybed has improved playability, while the synth now also features four assignable CV outputs and two assignable Gate outputs. This allows for interconnectivity with large-format as well as Eurorack modular systems. Also featured is a high-powered headphone amplifier to facilitate live-monitoring, along with a modified analog signal path.

According to Moog Chief Engineer, Cyril Lance, the Subsequent 37 CV incorporates a lot of community feedback, such as the CV interconnectivity, which is something a lot of fans desired. The increased headroom in the mixer, double of what the Sub 37 Tribute Edition has, and extension of the Multidrive range are just some of the highlights that are sure to please fans.

Anyone who was fortunate enough to attend Moogfest 2017 could have purchased one of the first 125 Subsequent 37 CV units. Don’t worry if you missed out as they can still be purchased exclusively through GuitarCenter.com, but you better hurry as we have a feeling that these limited edition synths will prove to be very popular.
