Demon Box Kickstarter Soars To Success
Post date:
Eternal Research launched a Kickstarter for "Demon Box," stating that it is a "gateway to the unseen and unheard frequencies that surround us." It harnesses electromagnetic fields (EMF) to turn ordinary objects into musical devices. As long as the object emits electromagnetic waves, it can be used to create unique sounds. According to the Kickstarter page, some objects compatible with the Demon Box include mobile phones, wi-fi routers, microwave ovens, electric guitars, computers and laptops, neon signs, radios, televisions, power tools, and much more.
The Demon Box operates by using a proprietary configuration of 33 inductors arranged in a triangular field to translate the electromagnetic resonance of objects and devices into different channels that can be used simultaneously. These include three mono channels, one stereo, and three CV and MIDI channels. It is entirely compatible with existing audio setups and can be run through any mixer or even directly into a computer. The earliest Demon Box prototypes date back to 2015, but the Kickstarter only launched in September 2024 with an estimated delivery date of March 2025. However, it has been in pre-production for two years, and backers were clearly impressed with the idea as the Demon Box quickly soared past its Kickstarter goal of $9,997. The first 50 backers were able to secure their Demon Box for only $449, but very limited quantities of the Early Bird Demon Box for $549 and Demon Box - Kickstarter Pricing of $599 were still available.
