Cherry Audio Releases Wurlybird 140B
Post date:
Cherry Audio has announced its first sample-based electro-acoustic virtual instrument, the Wurlybird 140B. The instrument is modeled after its 1964 namesake, which, according to many Wurlitzer fans, has even better action and tone quality than the popular 200-series. To create the Wurlybird 140B, Cherry Audio made use of a professionally restored 140B. In addition to deep expert sampling, the software features subtle randomization of key releases and pedal sounds. It also offers precision modeling of the original preamp and faithfully emulates the vibrato and tremolo. Wurlybird 140B even offers adjustable background hum and includes a broad spectrum of tonal-enhancing stompbox-style effects that range from the subtle all the way to the extreme.
